About WealthWise
WealthWise is a free personal finance platform built to help everyday people in the United States and Canada take control of their money — without needing a finance degree.
Our Mission
Financial literacy shouldn't be a privilege. Too many people feel overwhelmed by budgeting, confused by investing, and stuck in debt cycles — not because they lack discipline, but because nobody ever explained it clearly. WealthWise exists to change that.
We provide free tools, plain-English guides, and AI-powered assistance to help you budget smarter, pay off debt faster, invest with confidence, and plan for the retirement you deserve.
Meet the Founder

Rishi Mohan
Founder, WealthWise · Based in Canada
I'm Rishi — the founder of WealthWise. I'm not a financial advisor or a Wall Street professional. I'm a regular person who has spent the last 10 years learning to manage and invest my own money: building a budget that actually stuck, paying down debt, and growing a long-term investment portfolio through every kind of market.
Along the way I made plenty of mistakes and read everything I could get my hands on. Most of it was either too complicated, trying to sell me something, or written for people who already understood finance. I built WealthWise to be the resource I wish I'd had when I started — honest, free, and written in plain English for everyday people across Canada and the United States.
Everything I publish comes from real, hands-on experience and careful research — never copied, and always reviewed by a human (me) before it goes live. My goal is simple: to help you feel a little more in control of your money than you did yesterday.

Our Editorial Standards
Personal finance is a "Your Money or Your Life" topic, so we hold our content to a high bar. Here's exactly how every guide on WealthWise is created:
Written & reviewed by a real person
Every article is created and personally reviewed by Rishi Mohan before it's published. Nothing is auto-posted. Where AI tools help with a first draft, a human edits, fact-checks, and rewrites it with real-world perspective.
Fact-checked against primary sources
Figures, rates, and rules are verified against official sources — like the IRS, the CRA, and the institutions themselves — and we note when information was last reviewed.
Kept up to date
Tax thresholds, contribution limits, and product details change. We revisit and update our guides so the information you rely on stays accurate.
Original, experience-based content
Our guides are written from over a decade of hands-on personal finance experience — not copied or spun from other sites. We add the context and plain-English explanations we wish we'd had.
Spotted something that looks out of date or incorrect? Please let us know — we take accuracy seriously and will review it.
